International ACRO-top ready for Worlds in Belgium

The World Cups in Puurs (BEL) and Maia (POR) are finished. World wide the gymnasts are getting ready for the World Championships in Antwerp.
The World Cup in Puurs, Belgium (15-17 February) kicked off the international Acrobatic season. 11 countries showed their skills for the first time in 2018. The gold battle between Russia en homeland Belgium was massive. The World Cup in Maia, Portugal (2-4 March) was next up the calendar. 12 countries were present.
Belgium's European Champions Kilian Goffaux (Sportac Deinze) Robin Casse (VGL Niel) won gold in Puurs and Maia in Men's Pair. World Games' silver medal winners Noémie Lammertyn & Lore Vanden Berghe (Sportac Deinze) also claimed the golden medal in Belgium and Maia.
But it was the Russian team who trumped with seven out of 15 available medals in Puurs. and six out of 15 in Maia. European Champs Daria Chebulanka, Polina Plastinina and Kseniia Zagoskina both won gold in Puurs as well in Maia. The Women's three are definitely aiming at gold at the World Championships too!
Mixed pair Victoria Aksenova and Kirill Startsev (RUS) both won the World Cup in Puurs and Maia with a massive score above 30 points! Team mates Elena Murashko and Ivan Nesterenko followed very close in Maia.
The German World Games winners Kraft & Sebastian (GER) ended up third in Maia. In the Men's group competitions their group placed second! They couldn't beat the Belgium boys Noam Patel, Hannes Garré, Jonas Anthoon en Bram Geusens. At their World Cup debut in Belgium the boys placed second. In Maia they performed even better and took their first golden World Cup medal!
